Surrounding

The landscape you meet just outside Siena, is characterized by the richness, the elegance and the variety of different settings which only few other italian areas can claim. While travelling through the ancient roman road that link the city with the capital, our eyes are captured by the beauty of the valley, crossed by the arbia river and from its diversified and multicoloured farming which turn the landscape into something magic. On thr right hand side, in the background you may see the typical bare enviroment and the sweethills of "crete senesi". Going further towards Rome, we go up the sienese hills heading for Montalcino and Val d'Orcia area, distinguished by a green, hilly region and beautiful medieval urban centres, among which the beautiful Pienza sticks out. The beauty of the sienese territory takes us towards Florence. This woody landscape of the sienese Montagnola rules among the rest. Just after Poggibonsi, we face the suggestive sight of San Gimignano, whose fourteen towers give the village a tangible sense of medieval borough. The incomparable richness of chianti, characterized by a wise series of vineyards and olive trees in the surrounding hill and company is until the extreme outskirts of the sienese district.
